Hello, fabulous tattoo lovers and wedding enthusiasts!
Valerie here, your go-to wedding tattoo artist, and Kory, your event coordination maestro. We’re bursting with excitement to share a spectacular experience we had yesterday...
On Friday, September 13th, 2024, we became the very first ones to ever tattoo at the majestic Casa Loma in Toronto!
The day began with the kind of September weather dreams are made of: sunny, warm, and just the right amount of crispness in the air. Casa Loma, with its enchanting turrets and sprawling gardens, looked absolutely breathtaking. Since its first wedding in 1937, Casa Loma has been a cherished venue for many couples seeking a grand and historic setting for their special day. Being part of this storied tradition as part of the very first wedding with tattoos inside the castle was such a thrilling honour.
Valerie: “From the moment we arrived at Casa Loma, we were in awe. The castle’s gothic charm and grandeur were even more stunning in the sunlight. The wedding was every bit as beautiful as we’d imagined. And to top it all off, the idea of tattooing at such a legendary venue was like a dream come true.”
Our tattoo station was set up in Casa Loma’s library, adorned with walls of vintage books and lit by the soft glow of chandeliers. The contrast between the historic setting and the modern art of tattoos created a unique and exciting atmosphere. We were thrilled to be part of such a memorable wedding, especially on a night as special as Friday the 13th.
Kory: “It was incredible to see how the tattoos became a part of the wedding memories for so many people! Guests seemed thrilled to have a unique keepsake from the night. We were busy from start to finish, and the buzz in the room was electric. Watching everyone embrace the opportunity to get a tattoo was fantastic.”
As the evening progressed, the castle transformed into a lively celebration. The DJ kept the beats going, and Valerie tattooed into the wee hours of the morning. By the time the party wrapped up at 1:00 a.m., we were still buzzing from the sheer joy and excitement of the night.
Valerie: “There’s something magical about being part of a celebration that lasts into the night. It’s always such a thrill to finish that final tattoo just as the party is winding down, it's a perfect finish to a perfect day.”
Kory: “And I have to say, seeing the dance floor packed with guests and everyone so enthusiastic about their tattoos was the best feeling. It really feels like we are getting to be part of some amazing memories.”
As we wrap up this incredible adventure, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Casa Loma for making our tattoo dreams a reality and to the beautiful couple who trusted us with their special day. Your wedding was nothing short of magical, and being part of it was an honour we’ll never forget.
So, here’s to more unforgettable nights at Casa Loma and beyond! If you ever find yourself dreaming of a wedding with a touch of historical grandeur and edgy modern flair, we will be there to make your wedding tattoo dreams a reality!
With love and gratitude,
Valerie & Kory
